Peel Players will mount Self-Help By Dummiez in October 2013.

A "Smashing" (and Bashing) hit at this year's pirate festival in Milton, ON.
After a solid year of screenplay work, Todd returned his attention to the stage and teamed up with Dwayne Mailman and Tracy Rowland (WINPROV/Focus Up comedy, improv, stage combat team) to perform in the very silly "Smash, Bash & Crabbe", a Pirate-themed Comedy and Stage Combat show, scripted by Mr. TMcG, that was enjoyed by adults and children alike.

Todd says... "Dexter Season 8... Episode 2....
Okay... I had nothing to do with it really.
But anyone who's read/seen my 2002 stageplay Trammel the Cull, will realize that Charlotte Rampling's character Dr. Evelyn Vogel is very clearly a fan of my work.   : )
Ahead of my time and on the cutting edge of twisted.
So proud."

AWARDS!!!    AND OTHER COOL ACHIEVEMENTS... |
Okay... so it's been a very busy year and this update is LONG overdue.

June, 2013, the short film "Shelly", which Todd scripted, took the Audience Choice Award for Best Film at the Toronto 48 Hour Film Challenge.  The project is now beginning its rounds on the movie festival circuit.

May of 2013, the City of Brampton honors Todd McGinnis with an Arts Acclaim Award celebrating his accomplishments as a playwright.

HEADED FOR THE SILVER SCREEN...

With his legacy of plays still gaining in awareness and popularity throughout the world, Mr. McGinnis now directs most of his writing energies towards feature film production.
He divides the rest of his time between acting for stage and screen, and providing script consultation services.

His adaptation of his award-winning psychological thriller Trammel the Cull into a feature-length screenplay is already enjoying industry interest with past impressive placings in the Scriptapalooza Worldwide Screenplay and WildSound Screenplay Competitions.

His screenplay for the SciFi-Thriller "The Never Man" earned its way into the top 20 of the Cinecoup National Film Accelerator Competition and continues in development.

"Blur", a Drama co-written with director George D'Amato goes in front of the lens in October 2013.

His Comedy-Thriller screenplay "Dirty Diamonds" is in development.

He is also developing/scripting a One-Woman Show for Actress Alysa King... so fear not, stage devotees... clearly he's not strayed from "the boards" forever.

One thing is certain... whether it's from "page to stage" from "script to screen" Todd McGinnis is just gettin warmed up.
